View / ReplySubmitted by: Tharis - 2016-02-03Thanks. I think if I want to try this again, I might go with a standardized layout until I get to my population cap, then arrange large complexes by family ties. Maybe color-coordinate them. |

View / ReplySubmitted by: Salmeuk - 2016-02-01read year 107, that's not a mechanic but my legendary Siege Engineer. Well, he was only legendary for about a week before deciding to haul one particularly important alunite boulder, and through a rather dwarvenly set of events found himself with a pair of broken legs at the bottom of a 4 z-level waterfall with no way out (the exit staircase you see was hastily designated but wasn't finished before he drowned). |

View / ReplySubmitted by: Tharis - 2016-01-26I hear you on that one. I'm not sure I'll bother either, though on the other hand I'm strangely tempted to try to do a fort genealogy. Also, playing (as I've been) in short bursts makes some tasks less onerous. It's easier to focus on little details when you're not on the same game for a long stretch. |

View / ReplySubmitted by: Tharis - 2016-01-25Thanks for commenting! I think that's one reason I use it. It might be somewhat less time-efficient, but it's less confusing to use the "Q" command to examine particular shops and check on what's going on. |

View / ReplySubmitted by: Salmeuk - 2016-01-25Pod design makes it really easy to know what's going on with your dwarves, since everything is sort of segregated into little packets of production. Watching this one! |
