Wait until you see the goblins! They sometimes kill 4 of my dwarves before I get to them with my soldiers, but then my fortress goes into an irreversible tantrum spiral, especially if I don't have my dining room and personal palaces set up yet.

Good, you're enlarging the cattle pens. I think that you need a third one too. The reindeers are great cattle because they survive on little soil, but the yak/water buffalo eats all that's in the current pen alone in time it gets replenished. The horses together eat as much and the donkeys needs a bit less pasture than a horse. It's your choice, you might have to butcher half of your herd soonish. But do like your animal husbandry ideas.

Would be nice to see some brass walls or details somewhere in the future so your fort would live up to its name.

I see that you have done perfectly right with the choice to mass food barrels. You'll need a big Big food storage, if you're waiting to house a major population.

You didn't actually go through the aquifer? Hmm.... interesting. I thought there would have been an easy method using magma.

wow, powerful, perfect use of tileset. Simple, dwarfy. Cool. I love it, one of my phavoriets. It's cool how you found a soil covered volcano. Haven't seen this flat and this shallow magma before. Did you use any utilities to find the location or did you just do some exploratory expeditioning?

The wall is very dwarfy and I know how hard it can get with badass fortification projects if you elevate wealth too fast in a fortress.

Wow! looking very nice. The boat trench needn't even be flooded it looks nice nevertheless. I was hoping to see some down leveled royal housing but seems like I'll have to do it myself. You even have gold floor in the dwarvarium?
