I love your magma forge area, and the magma sewer. I'm glad you stuck with this fort.

Thought you'd like that shit :) I wanted to make a fort that melds stoic geometry with natural cavern designs, so i figured i'd staple the natural caverns to the top of the geometric fortress tower. The way I picture it in my head is a monumental stone pillar with the rest of the world that has yet managed to survive impaled on the top of it.

The edges of the final pit will also be natural like this, but they will end up being sheer rather than having ramps down into them (with exceptions).

I regret not having flowing water because this place would be great for nagrand islands complete with water source and all, but the ponds suffice for my purposes.

Yeah, everyone sleeps in the barracks right now. The individual bedrooms are going a few levels deeper than i've yet to dig, and the statue gardendining hall keep the dwarves plenty happy.

I love your bunker with the fortification-lined access bridge, the marksdwarves can cover a huge area that way.

Over the past year, 6 elves have been mangled or killed by Unicorns, as have all 3 of my soldiers (2 bled to death in bed months later)

One of the Unicorns involved in the slaughter had its eyes snatched out by a soldier, before stalking blindly into the woods and departing the site, swaddled in a new title...

It's possible, there is hope for all of us :)

Find the right girl and give her enough attention in between forts that she'll stick around. Thanks btw~

I'll add a new set of images for this fort, it's progressed 2 more years and looks really nice, but I've been messing with Windlancers today (flooding a goblin tower from the top, mwuauauauaghaafgsg hack cough)

My girlfriend says she'll suck your cock for creating this fortress, if you so prefer. :>

Having authored multiple fortresses with 10000+ rock blocks laid upon the earth, I know your pain. Kudos on creating such an amazing testament to patience and long-term vision for fortress creation, and tenacity in the face of a clunky and *DIFFICULT* construction UI.

I love the alternating double wall in your crypts, in between the two sections. I'm a big fan of walls thicker than 1 unit used as an accent myself, even if it's not the most efficient type of room.

Great fortress, one of my old favorites when I lurked the site. I know now what a mirthless pain it is to create things like this, so kudos on finishing this awesome fortress.

The Road of White Shadow will be flooded, and deep within the earth. It's not meant for travel, just to fool the king into thinking we have a valuable road. I also needed the stone and digging it out gave me quite a few mineral veins.

Stay tuned, I'm working on a highway to cut through the western mountains, removing all the ramps, and ensuring depot access on all approaches via a system of tunnels interconnected with ramps.

Non-square tilesets melt my skull, but good luck with this fortress, sir!

Needs more food stockpile asap.
