ajr_: I would love to hand it off to you. I was honestly about ready to shut it down, but I would prefer giving you the reins.

Wow. This is both the most perverted thing I have ever seen, as well as the most gorgeous. I wonder if trees will ever grow on the top of that very un-elfish tower.

Looks like quite a few dwarves are a little angry. I solve most anger issues with a legendary cook and brewer. It's amazing how many things they tolerate when they eat masterpiece meals in a legendary dining room.

The Orc start out soft, sending a leaderless squad of 8 wrestlers and 8 maulers.

They quickly step it up to 2-3 squads with Leaders. The leaders have some really decent weapons, so it's a nice way to equip your dwarves, assuming they survive the siege.

Eventually they send a hundred strong army with wolf riders, but I've never survived long enough to see it.

Are there any plans to have seasonal flooding again? That's one of the biggest things I missed about the 2d fortress game. Water has become such a boring, stable thing lately.

Fluctuating water levels would be simultaneously awesome and horrifying.

It looks like the traders walk across the brook. The brook doesn't count as a water tile until you channel it.

I always love 5 wide halls! This is looking pretty snug. Great job so far.

Side Note: I believe invaders can step right through your wall. With the ramps leading into and out of the magma vent, there's nothing that will stop a goblin from waltzing right in.

Far be it from me to tell another man how to run his fort, but if you set a garbage dump, then you can then designate all your stone as "trash", let your dwarves dump it all onto one square, and then reclaim it for your masons an smelters. This will take far less space than your huge stone stockpile.

I realize that I'm being a little of a hypocrite. My fortress Angelbane has WAY too much stone and I leave it lying all over the place.

Dude, cook some of your booze. Your famine can be very easily averted.

Good planning so far. Never let anyone make you do a square room. Cause squares are for people without a sense of glory, that's why. :)

Unless I'm missing something terribly obvious, you seem to have neglected to build any individual bedrooms. Is that even possible? What kind of monstrosity is this?

That's not to say that levels 10 and 11 aren't gorgeous, but still...

Alright, I got where your dining room is, but where is your awesome statue, and what value is it? Is it right behind the Dining room? And what are the values of the statues around it? I'd love a specific POI with lots of details.

(There is something disturbing about mathematically calculating happiness, but this game makes it alright.)
