Do you have trees growing on the elevated area? Don't you find it restricting not to have wood around? I like your "soil treatment" though

Hey, this is spectacular! A round mega hall! The fungus farm is a bit lame, but looks nice at least

To any previous fans of the Bloodfist: Good News!

I am in the works of setting the plans up for the next addition to the Blood-Class airships, the Bloodaxe.

All I can say about it is that this thing is huge. Up to twice the size of the Bloodfist (BF had 4 decks, BA has 8 decks, and is slightly longer and wider, while at it), and better designed overall. The Bloodaxe does what, in hindsight, I wish I did with the Bloodfist. Naturally, the Bloodaxe, due to it's scale, will take a considerable amount of time. However, I might do something similar with this, except maybe make it a community fort kind of thing.

The building process will still be similar (standard shipwright procedure (Skeleton, Hull, and then Internals), but the updates will be less frequent. Instead of seasonal, it will be every half-year to whole year update chunks. This would also be due to my improved playing ability, and a better selection of where to build it, and how to defend it.

Besides the references here, here's a better reminder of how I still intend to build it, just like this one:

I hope to be able to get started on it as soon as the week after Easter.

This is a very interesting map... What're your FPS? And how did you deal with the HFS? I can't really see how, but I am a tad tipsy at the moment. It doesn't help that I've never used this texture pack so half your dwarves look dead to me.

Also the roads and strange stream thing are really interesting, I've never embarked anywhere like that, modded or vanilla. I'm guessing that's a brook source?

What do you mean already? It's almost 1055! Am I right in thinking you've embarked on a volcano and it's taken nearly 5 years to tap that sweet, sweet magma? Shame on you!

If this is your first year then, well, carry on sir. It's all good and proper.

The road is conglomerate. Metal only comes in at a trickle via trade or whatever the goblins drop, so a full conversion from stone blocks to copper would take a while. Not that I'm against it, just that it may be outside my ability to pull off in the near future.

If I need to expand my farming, my current system is pretty extensible. I pretty much only use the plants for brewing as I end up buying a lot of meat from whatever caravan is passing through. At last count I had over 1000 prepared meals and like 800+ drinks. It should last a fair while. Plus, I capped immigration to under 100 (somewhere around 60 or 70, iirc), but I'm sporting upwards of 10-20 children these days. It'll take a while for any sort of strain to be put on my fortress' ability to feed itself.

Your agricultural activity seems insufficient for further generations. I would have 4 wells as well.
