Congrats on the progress so far! This fortress has really come together.

I don't imagine the traps in front do much in an invasion other than skin the knees of the goblins as they march in to meet your champions, but maybe that's all you need.

You should build Trade Depot traps. Build 7x7 rooms that get sealed with 3 floodgates and a lever. you can build exhibits out of the mad merchants from other Civs. They eventually get angry and come for your blood.

Your fort has merit. I absolutely LOVE the way you have your tombs set up. Literally bury them in the ground, cap it, and give them a tombstone. I don't know why I didn't think of it, but it is genius!

Unicorns are untrainable, unless you want to tempt fate by modding the raw files. Get some cage traps going in any case, and good luck!

This fortress is the stuff of greatness. Absolutely epic work here.

It's too bad the dwarven ruler met her end, but the important bit is that the relics of her rule still stand as a tribute to her memory.

I'm using the savok tileset. It was designed for low-res monitors, but I like the look of it.

I'm having a hard time getting food for my 60+!! dwarves. They mostly just eat all day and complain about the lack of a well. I don't have bedrooms, a dining room, or even a meeting hall. This fortress is being difficult.

Wow. Excellent architecture. The circle halls and the glass dome make for an masterful dwarven home.

It's just a beauty to look at.

Wow! That is a lot of vomit! Your dwarves must make good booze!

Your fortress must be one constant hangover. I love it.

Very nice aerial shot. I can't help but think that this would be a fan-freakin-tastic Human town. IMHO, the humans are a little too open-nature-elfish, and need to have some town walls.

Well done, or a great start, depending on if you have something else up your sleeve.

A nice pickle indeed. You have enough wealth that you can most likely make it out of the spiral. Don't give up!

Also you made my day by using the word "gorram".

It's easy to find features if they aren't gems, metal veins, or cave rivers.

The easiest way to find them is to punch a single hole down all the way for every map quadrant you have. (5x5 will need 25 holes. Punch a hole all the way stright down in the middle of each quadrant and you will easily find every feature there is.

What version of DF is this? I would like to try a 2D version sometime, but every version I tried has serious lag. I'm wondering what is the best for a 2d project...

I must be way behind on the times. Or just old school.

What is celestrium? I've never encountered it. And what in the name of all that is holy is the big hole on level 34? It seems to only have one z-level. What the crap?
