I just ran out of stones recently (first time ever!) so I couldn't make any more mechanisms. Also, the barracks will be relocated to where the paths join up, so there's always some military dwarves between the invaders and the rest of the fortress. |

At first I was planning to keep grazing animals out there so I walled off a large area. But then I realised the grass wasn't going to go grow back and they're a pain to manage anyway. |
