View / ReplySubmitted by: ajr_ - 2014-05-01I'm motivated by the upcoming DF2014 patch to try different things and possibly explore DF2012 mods that will be incompatible with the new version. In this process I discovered DFhack, the new Dwarf Therapist and lots of other utilities, and great music. |

View / ReplySubmitted by: ajr_ - 2014-04-30Thanks, tbh I had no idea how much I would have to mine stone to get it all roofed up and floored... Turns out a lot. I'm happy that there's plenty of iron ore though, so much that I'm making "windows" of it. The town is called "Mountain of Immortality", it just somehow became "Immortal". The idea is to mine out the sides so that the town seems to be lying on an artificial mountain or at least above dreadful pits in flat lands. |

If I had a Hammerer, I'd Hammer Er in the Morning
This tower is all set to receive a new Hammerer. In the top right is a masterpiece steel spike, controlled from the tower due south. The Hammerer is lured into the room by the promise of a lever to pull, and then the door is locked, trapping them inside. The aim is to inflict a crippling wound and stop them going about their duties.
The first Hammerer moved into this room died of complications.
The second Hammerer lost an eye, and spent a long time in bed. Unfortunately, she eventually got back on her feet and (despite not having her hammer) went causing trouble, so she was recalled to the spike. Unfortunately it turned her insides all mushy, so we're waiting on another replacement. -
