Did you use tweak to create the chasm or did it naturally appear like that?

Fear not, you aren't crazy. The central power plant isn't actually hooked up to anything yet. If you go up to level 29, directly above where the central gear is, you'll see a power routing room that I built ages ago to be able to transfer the power to different areas of the fortress. Eventually that room will be full of gears and axles connecting power to whatever area of the fortress may need it.

At the moment though I've been getting by just manually operating pumps to fill areas.

The harvest is pretty massive, something like 40-50 trees per year if I stay on top of it. I'm starting to have trouble using all my wood unless I start mass constructing barrels/bins... ;o

Perhaps it's time for some clear glass!

You could always make the unstable ground area another entrance. Instead of walling to the edge, start walling to the east and loop back around somehow, or connect it to part of the landscape. You could even then use the contained empty areas for random things like "housing" for nobles.

This is an extremely nice fortress, I must say. It looks perfectly organized but what can you expect out of a 103 year old fortress. :)

I was wondering why you haven't done anything with the bottomless pit yet? Any particular plans for it?

Tiny map! The magma pipe doesn't really leave you too much room to build your rooms and such. Should be an interesting fortress. Looking forward to updates =)

Also, why is the wagon rider a cabinet?
