View / Reply Submitted by: chuzzum - 2009-03-09 The strip mines are as much about training up a massive army of super-agile haulers as they are about getting stone. I don't really see the problem with mining out huge areas though, except you won't be able to build engraved walls there. And yeah, for some reason I thought I had a brook when I embarked here but it is conspicuously absent. I'm fine with my dwarves dying due to broken toes, but the lack of waterfalls makes me sad.

View / Reply Submitted by: chuzzum - 2009-03-02 I like your layout! It's very aesthetic while still being quite compact and efficient looking. Do you intend to build individual bedrooms or tombs, or do you just keep them happy with the statue garden?
