View / ReplySubmitted by: BridgeBurner - 2007-07-21Ooo....great idea! I was actually wondering what the hell I was going to do with my magma glassworks. Satisfying picky fey moods just didn't seem like enough. |

View / ReplySubmitted by: BridgeBurner - 2007-07-21I'm definitely not happy with the way some of the noble villas turned out. I agree that the diagonal tiles look awful, though I'm not so much worried about any nasties down that way. |

Also, maybe you can hook each of those bridges up to a switch so they all flipped up. |

You'll notice that that platinum seam you've already uncovered spans 50+ tiles and so too will iron, most likely. Sending probe shafts up 20-30 tiles apart will find you the iron (and everything else) quicker. I usually have it located by my third year and I tend to look for it more casually than most. |

Large portions of my fort are finally getting smoothed, which is quieting my slight obsession with having everything in the fort neat and tidy. Because of all this smoothing, my four engravers are now skilled enough to add engravings to the various special rooms and columns of the fort. My Expedition Leader / Legendary Mason features prominently in many of these, though there are a few of kolbold thieves and mountain gnomes getting killed. Someone also engraved a blood soaked temple in the Sheriff's dining room, a ravaged field in the Administrator's office, and three burning elf retreats in his dining room.
Incidentally, my Local government is The Admired Mirrors, whose symbol is Idols, and my civilization is the Distant Salves, who's symbol is a Ballista Arrow.
This is awesome, considering most of my fort have had "A Dwarf" and "Dwarfs" as symbols, and are covered in doodles of cows and towercaps. -
