The castle was completed, but the past decades have not been kind to Bravedlantern.
From an all time high population of over 200 dwarves, the fortress has just recovered to 100+ levels.
The main cause of the fortress's decades long 'recession,' The Great Fire was started when, after a goblin fell into the lava flood, a helpful dwarf stored his narrow giant spider silk vest in this huge pile.
After several failed attempts at just forbidding everything, it was decided to wall in the raging inferno. The lower white (rock) wall was never completed, as the masons all died horrible flaming deaths. The second, metal wall was successful, trapping the fire as well as a number of its victims behind a makeshift steel/bronze/silver alloy.
Since then the walls have been breached, the remaining metal goods slowly traded off or melted down, and the fallen's charred bones recovered and properly interred. - Gudamor

Lots of gold statues there. How much is the fort worth?

It's a bit over 21 million, mostly in steel armor.
Thanks Gaulgath! It's the part I'm most proud of.

"What're your plans for all this power generation? Did I miss a workshop somewhere?
-guardianelm"
I don't actually have any plans for it. Currently of something like 4000 units of power I am using just a tiny percentage to run two grain mills on the east side.
If anyone has suggestions for 4000 power, feel free to propose them.

Wow, chugging along nicely. Dont you get a big fps drop from all the junk laying around?

I only get about 10 FPS, and that after having turned off temperature and such.
