Δ Chasmpult & bone bolt factory
A new installation: a catapult to train operators, clear more rock, and piss off the batmen.

Note also slight staining of batman blood, and enclosed refuse room/craftdwarf workshop/archery range with ammo bins, to make the bone bolt cycle quite compact. - Jellyfishgreen
Δ Embedded bones
The front doors and entry hall suffer the heaviest fighting in the goblin sieges.

If you look closely you can see two (recently repaired) front doors to the entry hall; the second door has weapon traps front and back. It is mounted in rock but in this shot you can see the goblin bones that are embedded in the very rock surrounding the front door. I like to think this was the work of a hammerdwarf, or our oft-admired giant serrated bronze disc.

Also: blood, but I think this was from a sparring accident. - Jellyfishgreen
Δ Preparing for the Pits
Fortifications overlooking a bridge here, for a future risky exploration beyond the magma river. The bridge retracts, as do the smaller channel bridges. The channel can be flooded with water, or if that doesn't work, magma. The fortifications will be manned by elite marksdwarves.

I still expect to lose the fortress, of course. - Jellyfishgreen
Δ Trapped hallway
Here we have the north hallway from the mausoleum, showing a floodgate trap (and maintenance access to the channel). The lever for the floodgate is way down in the main hallway where nobles can find it. There is still some goblinwear in this halway left over from the Great Drowning of 1058. - Jellyfishgreen
