I'm currently not playing this fortress, the defenses COMPLETELY fell apart, my mayor was the only person to save it.

That is some tough luck, dude. What happen with the defenses? WAs there a diagonal gap that you missed?

Well, My marks dwarves stations didn't work at all they got one, maybe 2 kills (might be them being stupid). Ballista battery didn't work without me consistently forbidding the things outside (so my dwarves didn't rush in headfirst into orcs) If I forbid going outside the siege operators never got into position. The war giant cave spiders I had outside got killed by a single orc wrestler. If it wasn't for my BAMF mayor this fort would have been killed.
