Sungate - 1064 Early Winter by Sappho

Map Description:

I've been working on this pyramid on and off since last September or so. My computer can no longer handle it, so I'm leaving the rest up to you.

Btw, I like the part about dwarves falling 25 levels from top of the pyramid to deepest part of the quarry... sort of sacrifices for the gods of the pyramid when its top was completed :p

Δ 23. Breach
I somehow managed to forget to close off this hole. You might want to do that to complete the pyramid. - Sappho
Δ 21. Blocks
There are random blocks scattered around the map for various reasons which are now obsolete. The original plan was to organize all the debris into nice neat stockpiles, but it didn't work out that way on account of my computer choking on the immense fortress. - Sappho
Δ 17. Stockpiles - Wood/Furniture
I added these to get this stuff out of the way. There is more wood on this map than you will ever need. This is just the stuff I chopped down and didn't make into barrels, bins, or beds. - Sappho
Δ 16. Colorful Rock Piles
I had to stockpile all the non-marble rock over here to crank out my Marble Blocks for construction. I removed the stockpiles, but the rock remains over here for now. There's a whole lot of it, and this is nothing. Wait till you see what's underground. - Sappho
Δ 16. Gates
There are four openings on the ground level. The plan was to wall them off and create a secret underground tunnel into the pyramid, but I didn't get around to it. You could also put doors here, if you don't want the pyramid to be secret. - Sappho
Δ 16. Water
This tiny patch is the only water on the map, so I left it untouched for now. - Sappho
Δ 15. Dwellings
I left in the little dwelling area I had made for my workers. You can use it as a starting point, or just demolish it. It works for the time being. - Sappho
Δ 13. Craft Workshops
I built these (and put stockpiles around them) to try to get rid of some of the excess stone, but there was just too much to deal with. - Sappho
Δ 10. Smoothed Floors
All of the underground surfaces are smoothed until you hit the area I used as a quarry only, which is not part of the official pyramid. Originally I was going to pave over all the discolored parts with marble, and I started doing that, but of course my computer can't handle it anymore so it was left unfinished. - Sappho
Δ 7. Future Underground Exit
This is where I was going to tunnel out to the secret exit, after putting floors down over the stairs. - Sappho
Δ 6. Quarry
Everything at this point and below was used as a quarry for marble. Seriously, it's one massive pyramid. - Sappho
Δ 5. Remains
The bones of the dwarfs who removed the stairs on the top level of the pyramid before I remembered that in this version (33d), dwarfs stand on top of the thing they are removing, and therefore fall 25 stories all the way to the bottom of the staircases, where they splat on the ground. Oops. - Sappho
