Drop Shadow Text : Drop Shadow Text

Okay, this does exactly what it says on the tin. It adds a slight drop shadow to text, so that it looks like the text is floating above the page.

This is so easy. Open up Paint Shop Pro.

1. Make a new image, say 300x90 pixels size, with a white background

2. Select the text type [A] tool from the menu, and click somewhere on the canvas.

3. Change the background colour to whatever, I chose black. Click the [Standard Text] button to clear the foreground colour/texture.

4. Type your text and choose a font style, I chose Arial, size 48.

5. Click okay to create your text, move it into the center of the page, and keep the text selected!

6. Go to.. Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow..

7. I chose settings of Offset Vertical 4, and Horizontal 4. Attributes Blur 9, Opacity 50 and the colour black for my shadow.

8. Click okay, right click to deselect, and one dropped shadow text completed.
